What are the key things to include in any hypothesis?
The independent and dependent variables.

What is a one-tailed hypothesis?
Predicts expected direction of the results e.g. performance will be better in the morning than the evening.

What is a two-tailed hypothesis?
Does not predict the expected direction of the results. E.g. there will be a significant difference in performance between those tested at 10am and those tested at 10pm.

What is an alternate hypothesis?
One that states the expected results - one-tailed or two-tailed.

What is a null hypothesis?
There will be no significant difference on the performance of a memory test between participants tested at 10am and those tested at 10pm.
