low population with a high but fluctuating birth and death rates. (Rural communities of Bangladesh)

quickly declining death rate, higher birth rate so increasing population. (Sri Lanka or Peru)

They changed through stages 2 and 3 where they had rapid population growth and this was accompanied by industrial growth, farming improvements and increased wealth now have an ageing popukation
