What is a tumour?
A group of undifferentiated cells

What are the two types of tumour?
Benign and Malignant

What are their similarities?
Both are produced by uncontrollable mitosis and both can cause damage to body tissues

What are their differences?
A benign tumour is slow growing, surrounded by a fibrous capsule and doesn't move whereas a malignant tumour is fast growing and is not surrounded by a capsule.

What is metastasis?
When cells from the primary tumour break off by blood and lymph to other parts of the body

What are the 6 main causes of cancer?
Genetic, Age, Ionising Radiation, UV Radiation, Chemicals, Viruses
