What does Commitment mean?
Making and keeping a promise, such as wedding vows.

It is believed in Judaism that you are destroying the seed of life through using contraception. Roman catholics also believe that you will be going against Gods will by preventing the life.

A natural instinct of life is to have children. A sign of deep personal commitment between a man and a woman. A way of giving oneself totally to another. Many sacred texts state the importance of having children.

Often held within a church. Vows are taken to show commitment. Singing hymns to worship God. Signing the register to show that the couple are married.

The vows taken can never be out of date. Religious traditions expect couples to enter marriage. More people are cohabiting to show commitment to each other. Many people have trial marriages first.

Many religious believers want a blessing in a place of worship. It doesn't matter where you get married as long as your intentions are right.

If they both agree to the vows and love each other then it should be acceptable. Same sex relationships though are against the teachings of some religious traditions.

Divorce is accepted.

Divorce is allowed but only as a last resort. This can be forfilled by the man stating infront of his wife three times that the marriage is over.

Fall out of love with partner. Money worries. Comprimise over problems. Support from faith, such as prayers.
