What is the central nervous system composed of?
Brain & Spinal cord

What does the peripheral nervous system compose of?
Cranial nerves, spinal nerves and peripheral nerves

What does the CNS (central nervous system) do?
It has the role of sensory activities, storing memories and emotions.

What does the PNS (peripheral nervous system) do?
Sends messages from the CNS to the rest of the body.

Controls movement and the body wanting to achieve movement.

What does the automatic nervous system do?
Responsible for involuntary actions e.g heartbeat

What are the functions of the CNS?
Controlling emotions, thoughts, movements, and desires. Allows breathing and release of some hormones, and temperature

What is the function of the spinal cord? What does it do?
It is a long tubelike structure starting at the brain stem and is carried on towards the bottom of the spine. The spinal cord is also responsible for carrying information between the brain and body.

*Fight of flight *Increase of blood pressure and heart rate *Allows blood to travel to the skeletal muscles
