what is a hormone
it is a chemical messenger that changes the way a part of the body works.

Target organ: Liver and muscles which convert glucose into glycogen.

Role: To increase blood glucose concentration

Target organ: Liver and muscles which convert glycogen back into glucose.

what is adrenalin
Adrenaline is produced by the adrenal glands in times of fear or stress. It targets vital organs, increases the heart rate and boosts the delivery of oxygen and glucose to the brain and muscles. Preparing the body for 'flight or fight'.

it causes growth and repair of the lining of the uterus wall

Maintains the thickness of the uterus lining, inhibits FSH release. Falling progesterone levels trigger ovulation.
