1) Take Over
Hitler has been electected in 1933 due to the weakness and unpopularity of the Weimar Republic. Many politicians and industrialists chose Hitler to become Chancellor due to behind the scenes actions from German aristocrats.

2) Rearmament
Thousands of unemployed were drafted into war. Rearming was a secret to other countries at first. The League of Nations' Disarmament Conference collapsed. Other countries were not ready to fight back.

3) SAAR
The SAAR region of Germany had been ruled by the L of N since 1919. L of N held a plebiscite to the people of Germany to see if SAAR should be ruled by Germany. Over 90% of the population of Germany said yes.

4) Rhineland
In March 1936, Hitler took his army into the Rhineland. France did not react since they were in a political struggle. L of N condemned Hitler's action but did nothing more. This made Hitler take a huge gamble even more in the future.

5) Spanish Civil War
In 1936 a civil war broke out in Spain between Communists, who supported Rep. gov., and right-wing rebels under General Franco. L of N did pratically nothing in 1937 Hitler come to 'help' by German aircrafts devastating the city with bombs.

6) Anti-Comintern pact
Hitler signed a Anti-Comi pact with Japan in 1936 since they saw a connection with the military dictatorship. In 1937, Italy signed it too. Anti-Comintern means anti-communist international. The aim was to reduce Communist influence around the world

7) Anschluss (Political Union)
Hitler anschluss'd with Austria in 12 March 1938. Mussolini supported this action. Hitler encouraged the Nazi party in Austria to cause trouble and riot to anschluss with Germany. Austrian Chancellor, Schushchnigg pleaded for help to Britian and Fran

8) Sudentenland
In October 1, the German army took control of the Sudentenland. The leader of Czechoslovakia was horrified by the idea of anschluss. USSR, Britian and France stated that they would protect Czech. Chamberlain flew to Germany in 15 Sept. to negotiate
