What were the problems of the organisation of the League?
No army. Not everyone was allowed in. Unanimous decisions could not be made easily.

USA - wanted isolationism. Germany - being punished (until 1926). Russia - communist (until 1933).

Poland invaded Vilna - capital of Lithuania. Britain and France did not punish Poland because they saw it as a useful allie.

Mussolini bombarded Corfu because Italian general was shot. League did not do anything to help Greece.

What were the aims of the League? (6)
Disarmament. Self determination. Collective security. No empires. No more war- peace. Sort out disputes.

Finland got Aaland Islands, no fighting. Also Upper Silesia split between Germany and Poland.

Banned poisonous paints

Half a milliom WW1 prisoners released (1920). Disease. Work. Slavery and child labour reduced. Drug trafficking reduced. Highway code.
