Cold War
Describes the hostile tensions between the 2 biggest superpowers after WWII (USSR and USA). No direct fighting but a lot of competition and rivalry which meant they often supported each others enemies.

InterContinental Ballistic Missile capable of travelling from one country and exploding in another.

Avoiding open combat and instead using booby traps, attacks on small groups by ambush, spreading revolutionary ideas through the peasants to gain support.
