The Yalta Conference
End of WW1, Germany had been divided into 4 zonez occupied by: USA, USSR, Britian and France. Germany would pay for repairations. Russia would help with war against Japan when Germany was defeated.

Potsdam Conference
Germany had been defeated, Roosevelt was dead and Churchill lost the 1945 election. Disagreement about how much Russia could take. In the end: They took wahtever they wanted from Soviet Zone and 10% of the industrial equipment of western zones.
