In all 3 risings there was a decidedly religious focus, although there may have been other issues added in order to gain support from influential gentry members and to mollify angry laymen.

The PoG posed the greatest threat, although high profile Catholics exacerbated the situation.

What was the result of the PoG?
A general pardon was given, but the Cumberland rising gave Henry opportunity to renege on his promises. 178 people were executed, including Robert Aske. Royal authority increased in the North to due to neutralisation of the Percy family.

To what extent was the PoG a threat to the throne?
Could have been a threat under more severe leadership due to 35,000 vs 10,000 government and support from the gentry, soldiers, and nobility. However, they were very far from London and no intention of usurping. Undermined religious reforms.
