One system is the circulation of the blood from the heart to the lungs and then back to the heart which allows gas exchange. The other transports blood from the heart to the body's organs
2 of 13
What kind of blood returns to the heart from the lungs?
Oxygenated blood
3 of 13
What are the coronary arteries?
The arteries that carry oxgenated blood to the organs of the heart
4 of 13
What kind of muscle is the heart made of?
Cardiac muscle
5 of 13

10 of 13

Atria contract together and blood is forced down into the ventricles and valves close to stop backflow
11 of 13
How is blood forced put of the heart?
Ventricles contract and blood is forced out of the aorta if it is oxygenated and in the left ventricle and out of the pulmonary artery if it is deoxygenated and from the right ventricle
