exposure to hazardous substances may occur when cleaning or sterilising equipment / may be due to a spillage or if the storage, handling and disposing intructions have not been followed

broken doors and windows could result in intruders / to ensure privacy of data / intruders can cause damage, loss & emotional harm

accidents can result from these such as a bruise from an individual kicking, falling or aggression from a drug or alcohol user

essential to know how to prevent fires and stop them from spreading / fires need oxygen, fuel and heat to burn

can cause long-term damage and can cause water spread diseases / could be caused by a failure to carry out maintenance checks

medical help must be obtained quickly / the first aider should stay with the casualty until help arrives - ensures reassurance and an efficient & effective handover to medical staff

as a minimum, a low-risk workplace such as a small office should have a first-aid box and a person appointed to take charge of first-aid arrangement - such as calling the emergency services if necessary
