Growth describes increase in quantity. An example is when children grow taller as they get older. When your height increases, weight also increases.

heads to toe- infants control head and develop control of body. They are able to control legs and feet for crawling.

Purpouse of a growth chart
a growth chart is used for measuring length and weight in different percentiles. They provide warning that your child may have a medical problem.

Physical development in infancy- Milestones.
Infants are able to hold head steady without any support. Push down on the legs when there feet is on a hard surface. roll over from tummy to back. Push up to elbows when lying on tummy.
