-person lacks belongings that they could easily afford
-purchase of items that individual may not have use for
- inability to pay bills
-power of attorney obtained when the person is unable to understand what they are signing

unintentional abuse
type of abuse that can be caused a careless approach to tasks or as a result to neglect e.g. poor care of a hospital patient leading to pressure sores.
