What are nouns? How do you test for a noun?
Naming words which name people, places and things. Test for a noun by seeing if 'the' can be placed in front of it or by seeing whether it will fit into a structure "do you know about _____?".

Describing words. They provide extra information about nouns by givign details about the physical qualities. eg some 'green' leaves

You test for an adjective by placing it between 'the' and a noun eg, the _______ dog or by placing very before it eg, very __________. Comparatives and Superlatives compare things eg, fast, faster, fastest

Verbs are doing words which express emotions and states. Stative verbs: express states of being or procession in which there are no obvious action eg, think and see. Dynamic verb: express a wide range of actions which may be physical eg, jump and run
