What is globalisation?
The process of the wrold's economies, political systmes and cultures becoming more strongly connected to eachother.

The movement of capital (money investment) and people between different countries, and businesses locating their operations and selling their products and services in more countries.

1980's.

What has caused cheaper and easier global connections?
Improvements to telephone networks; mobile and satelite phonesallow communication even without access to a telephone line.

How have large amounts of information been allowed to exchange instantly across the globe?
Development and rapid spread of e-mail and internet, makes working across long distances very efficient.

How has global transport been improved?
By the developemnt of high speed rail networks, larger/faster ships, larger cargo planes and low cost airlines; easier and cheaper to move people/goods around the world + companies able to get supplie/ sell products all over the world.
