cheap labour, longer working hours, less strict health and safety regulations

jobs, multiplier effect, create skilled jobs- education and training, higher wages, reliable income, pay taxes, spend money on infrastructure

not secure- could relocate, long hours, poor conditions, local companies struggle and shut down, profits go to MEDCs, lots of traffic and pollution, bad for health

deindustrialisation- secondary industries more to LEDCs and NICs, MEDCs have to develop tertiary and quaternary industries- increases rich poor gap
