because the debt and poverty that characterise many of these societies mean they cannot afford a healthcare system that pays a living wage

this then worsens health further in those countries as there ends up being a shortage of people with medical knowledge

NHS has to buy drugs from these multinationals, this affects the NHS and its doctors in two ways, what are they?
1)NHS has no influence over what drugs are developed and very little control over testing for safety/efficiency 2)NHS has little influence on the price set by pharmaceutical companies
