Give examples of Global Environmental Issues

Acid Rain, Deforestation, Fossil Fuels, Global Warming, Drought, Pollution and the Environment

Give impacts of some of the issues.

Deforestation- loss of habitat, less intake of oxygen, ground loses its nutrients. Pollution- poisons and kills the ground, kills animals and plants. Global warming- causes sea levels to rise and ice caps to melt, temperatures to rise.

1) it is the wettest place on earth, contains an wide range of wildlife, humid. 2) companies are using exploitation to get resources -deforestation, mining, hunting. 3) wide range, sloths, giant otters, Caimen, pink river dolphins, howler monkeys

1) because it produces 20% of the worlds oxygen is 50% of the worlds vegetation and has a huge biodiversity containing many animals. 2) by exploitation,farming,mining,road building,deforestation.3) by reducing the amount of mining etc, plant trees

-the variety of wild life in a ecosystem - to take advantage of something - to last for future generations - to take plants for medical research and not give any money back to the who told them about the plant - to cope with the surroundings

how have plants adapted

tall trunks so the leaves can reach the sunlight, large roots to get more nutrients and support the tree, leaves are waterproof to stop rotting and have a pointed end for water to run off, small plants live on larger trees,

buttress root, liana, parasite plant, epiphyte, scent and bright flowers, drip tip leaf, shiny thick leaves

to support the tree, a creeper which grows up trees to reach light,grows and feeds on the side of a taller plant, grows in the opening of a tree, attracts insects for food and pollination, so water can run off, stop the leaves from rotting.
