Boroughs under 15,000 lost MP'S, those under 50,000 under lost 1 MP, ended over representation.

Foreign Policy- Transvaal and Boer war
Boers promised indepence by Dizzy when Zulu's defeated, glado delayed and continued policy of condef causing boer to revolt- GB suffered a series of defeats against a lesser opponent, convention of pretoria peace settlement-boers get self govt.

Left over from Dis, Glado removed troops station russo-turkish war and replaced them with civilians consuls. "Concert of Europe".

War still going, Glado want withdraw but convinced to stay by lord ripon. GB now responsible for Afghan defence. 1885 Russians appeared to be mounting an attack expecting usually non agg glado but he stood firm got rus to back down via inter law.

controlled by egypt. egypt controlled by GB. The Mahdi begin war against anglo-egyptians, Glado orders withdrawal and sends General Gordon to organise it, he instead attacks the Madhists, Gordon and army massacred, public outrage as war hero killed

GB Africa under threat from expanding FR +GER. countries gathered at conference = GB's position guranteed and german expansion stopped- started scramble for Africa

India- Lord Ripons Ilbert BIll 1883
propsed elite native can sit in juries but opposition from GB public, against a Indian determining a Britsh Persons faith. Indians saw it as patronising- Bill rejected.
