1. Define Cardiac-output

  • It occurs when the flow of oxygen-rich blood to a section of heart muscle suddenly becomes blocked.
  • The volume of blood pumped out of the heart by each ventricle during one contraction.
  • The amount of blood ejected from the heart in one minute or stroke volume x heart rate.
