Guilt- Was put on Germany, Armed Forces- Army of just 100,000 men and a navy of only 6 battleships, Repartations- £6.6billion for Germany to pay (due to damage done during the war)

The occupation of the Ruhr (facts)
-Germany was falling behind with reparation payments so Belgium and France decided to invade the Ruhr. - German workers in the Ruhr resisted (PASSIVE RESISTANCE)

Outcome of the Occupation of the Ruhr
-Germany loses all of the Ruhr and what it produced (i.e goods, coal, raw materials) -Germany became poorer and workers were not being paid.

Inflation to Hyperinflation facts
-The government did not have enough money for passive resistance so they printed more money. -This causes value of money to go down and price of goods to go up. -1923 so much money was printed it became worthless (hyperinflation).

Outcome of Hyperinflation
-People lost savings and their wages could not keep up with the price rises. -Even though inflation had started years before the government still got blamed for the rapid rises.
