Abrasion/corrasion - the grinding of rock fragments carried by a river and banks of the river.
Attrition - a process of erosion where transported particles hit against each other making the particles smaller and more rounded.

Solution - the process by which river water reacts chemically with soluble minerals in the rocks and dissolves them.
Hydraulic Action - moving water which can undermine the river banks of force air into cracks within exposed rock, breaking the rock apart.

Saltation - the bounding of medium-sized load along the river bed.
