We drawed a field sketch of Wye Valley and this technique ws important because it helped to pick out the key physical features.

How did you work out the changes in Burbage Brook downstream?
We used a tape measure and measured the width across the channel. After that we used a metre ruler to measure the depth across the width and worked out the average depth.

Describe one primary data collection method.
Pedestrian counts are taken by the whole group whilst in Bakewell. We were all divided into groups and given a specific location. This data was then used in a isoline map of pedestrians across Bakewell.

Why are risk assessments important?
They are important because there is a possibility of diseases e.g Weil disease which is casued by animal urine. We made sure we used hand sanitizer before eating.

How were the questionares divided up as?
They were divided up into locals and tourists.

There was a lot of repetition as there were a few enthusiastic members of the public who answered more than once.

What is traffic count?
It is where we counted how many cars went passed and recorded it as a tally on different types of cars.

What is an Isoline map?
It shows lines which join points of equal value.

A contour map which have points which join together that have the same equal height.

Advantage of Isoline maps.
It is useful to interpret general trends within the distribution.

Disadvantage of Isoline maps.
The line values have an element of guesswork and may not be precise.
