Hadley cell
The hadley cel, named after Geaorge Hadley, is a global scale tropical atomspheric circulation that features air rising near the equator, flowing poleward at 10-15 kilometers above the surface, descending in the subtropics, and then returning equator
2 of 5
Ferrell Cell
The ferrelis the motion of air in the mid-latitudes. It is characterized by sinking air near 30 degree and rising air further polewards. At the surface, air flowing poleward is deflected to the east by coriolis force
3 of 5
Polar cell
The global circulation can be described as the neccessary transport of heat from tropical to polar latitudes is accomplished.
