LEDCs have high population growth rates. Both birth rates and death rates in LEDCs tend to be high. However, improving healthcare leads to death rates falling - while birth rates remain high. AC have low birth rates and low death rates.

A megacity is usually defined as a metropolitan area with a total population in excess of ten million people.

A process where towns and cities in Acs have suffered loss of population in inner cities. Some form of re development is needed to bring people back.
