What is the defintion of Gential Herpes?
Sexually transmitted viral infection. HSV - 1. HSV - 2.

What are the causes of Gential Herpes?
1. Present on skin, can be passed to anyone. 2. Oral sex with someone who has a coldsore. 3. Moist skin that lines the genitals, mouth and anus.

What are the symptoms of Gential Herpes?
1. Pain when passing urine. 2. Blisters and ulcers on the cervix. 3. Painful red blisters that burst and leave open sores. 4. General feeling of being unwell.

What treatment is there for Gential Herpes?
1. Primary infections: Anti-viral tablets, salt water on the blisters, ice packs, vaseline, lots of fluids and avoid tight clothing. 2. Episodic: 5 day course of Acycloris.

What are the recurrent triggers of Gential Herpes?
1. Stress. 2. Alcohol. 3. Friction during sex.

What are the physical imapacts of Gential Herpes?
1. Painful sores and weeping blisters so that you cannot: Kiss a partner who has a coldsore, have genital on genital contact or use saliva to wet contact lenses and will have to wear condoms.
