Chilvalry Theory
This argues women are more deviant than they appear but are protected by the 'chivalry factor' by police, courts etc. Eileen Leonard challenges this theory arguing bad women treated more harshly than men.

Go back to Victorian ideas such as Lombroso. Normal females have a disposition that repels them from committing deviant+criminal acts. Very little link with sociology, however, there are links between female crime+hormonal+menstrual factors.
