Major Key throughout (sense of happiness) Mostly in A Major but modulates to E Major and B major. Chords are diatonic. Mostly perfect cadences (e.g at end of intro) but plagal cadence at end.

RHYTHM AND TEMPO
fast harmonic rhythm in 3/4 (triple time) and the Hemiola sometimes makes the rhythm appear to be in 2/4 (duple time). Marked as 'Allegro' (fast) but last four bars are 'Adiago' (slower) to mark the grand ending.
