Compound fracture
Also known as an open fracture. The bone snaps and sticks through the skin, also causes blood loss

Simple fracture
Also known as a simple fracture. The bone snaps but does not pierce the skin.

Stress fracture
Incomplete fracture. Caused by overuse or excessive weight bearing. Also knows as a hairline fracture

Greenstick fracture
Common in young children due to their pliable bones. One side of the fracture is broken the other is just bent.

4 Symptons of a fracture
Pain. Deformity. Swelling. Immobility.

Call 999. Do not move. Reasure. Prevent and blood loss.
