What was the Rough Wooing?
Somerset's attempt to take advantage of a minor on the Scottish throne. Attempted to force a marriage alliance.

What was the Treaty of Greenwich? And when did this occur?
This was the attempted marriage alliance between MQS and Edward VI. This was rejected by Scottish parliament, and so HVIII used force to make them obedient (Battle of Pinkie). This began in 1543, and spanned on until 1548.

MQS was smuggled to France and betrothed to Francis (heir to French throne). England and Scotland were now at war.

This happened because England failed to capture significant castles at Dunbar and Edinburgh.

Somerset inherited a large debt, unable to continue to fund the war. This led to debasement of the coinage to help the ongoing war effort (raised £537,000), this heightened inflation.

The Treaty of Boulogne gave Boulogne to France for £400,000 in March 1550. However HVIII had captured it in 1545, and offered for them to have it back in 1555 for £2 million.
