Define Displacement
The Displacement between two points is simply how far apart they are, measured in a straight line between point A and B. Therefore it is a VECTOR QUANTITY
1 of 6
Define Distance
The Distance between two points is how far apart they are but takes the DIRECTION travelled into consideration. Therefore it is a SCALAR QUANTITY
2 of 6
Define Speed and state its Equation
Speed is the distance travelled over the time taken, giving the average speed of a journey. V = s/t
3 of 6
Define Mass and State its measurements
Mass is the measure of the amount of matter in an object (kg & g)
4 of 6
Define Weight and State its measurements and equation
The weight of a body is the force due to gravity on it (N) W=mg
5 of 6
Define Density, state its measurements and equation
The Density of a substance is its mass per unit volume (g/cm^3, kg/m^3) D=m/v
