Spits formation
form at sharp bends, transports sand ans shingle past the bend and deposits into the sea, strong winds can curve the end of the spit, the sheltered area behind the spit is protected by from waves, plants can grow there and become a mud flat/salt marsh
1 of 7
Bars formation
a spit joins 2 headlands together, cuts off the bay between the headlands from the sea and a lagoon can form behind the bar
2 of 7
Identifying landforms caused by erosion
Caves and arches can't be seen because of the rock above them, stacks look like little blobs in the sea, cliffs and steep slopes are shown as black lines and wave cut platforms bumpy edges along the coast.
3 of 7
Identifying landforms caused by deposition
sand beaches are shown as pale yellow, shingle beaches are shown as white/yellow speckles, spits are shown as a beach being carried out to sea, ther might also be a sharp bend in the coast where it has formed.
4 of 7
Sea level rise cause: Global Warming

5 of 7
Melting ice
The melting of ice on land causes water that"s stored as ice bak into the water, this increases volume of water in oceans and causes sea level rise.
