Globalisation = challenges importance of local/national culture. Knowledge = people don't have faith in theories that explain/challenge the world and people are sceptical about science

Makes social changes more important than actually are. Some people still think class, gender and ethnicity are part of their identity. Consumption has increased but depends on income

Nuclear family is the ideal and most choose not to live in a different family in the long term. Many people who aren't in a nuclear fam. either have been or will be and the nuclear family is still dominant

We have greater choice an more equal relationships. Contraception means reproduction less important. Women more independent. Relationships are a way of self exploration and they can be pure. Choice makes relationships less stable.
