How does poor housing conditions effect development?
damp, overcrowding and lack of heat in winter can cause a cold. Damp and poor heating is linked to bronchial problems e.g. coughs and ashma.

children who eat too much convience foods, wont get the nutrients. Obesity, diabetes and heart disease can be due to a diet high in fats, suagrs and salt.

Lack of clean clothes and parents that dont set good hygiene exmaples= risk of disease from germs spreading through cross infections. Could be excluded from play with other children.

lack of exercise= lead to obesity and lack of fresh air and playing outside= lack of vitamin D from the sun.

Poor pet hygeine can lead to a spread of disease in the famiy. Also some people can be allergic to animal hair.
