in yale uni, the PPs were the teachers and were asked to shock the learners (confederates) every-time they matched the words wrong (15v intervals increased each time). when they asked to stop, the experimenter would ask them to continue

there were 15-450v intervals and all participants went to 300v and 65% of this went to the full 450v observations also showed the PPs to be distressed by sweating, stuttering, etc. concluding, ppl will obey unjust order under right circumstances.
