What is a one-tailed hypothesis?
They predict the direction of the outcome or trend you expect to see.

What is a two-tailed hypothesis?
Predicition states that the the trend or outcome could go in nore than one direction.

What are the strengths and weaknesses of a random sample?
Strength:It is a less biased sample because noone has a higher or lower chance of being selected. Weakness:Difficult to do a truly random sample if target population is to big.

What are the strengths and weaknesses of oppurtunity sampling?
Strength:Easy, time and cost effective as you simply use people you have access to. Weakness:unrepresentative as people you have access to are likely to be very similar.

What ethics do we have to consider when carrying out psychological research?
Right to withdraw: they can leave at any time and take their data. Protection of participant:Leave study in same state entered. Informed consent:fully informed about the study only when they agree they participate. Confidentiality:identity protected
