desc the structure of the nucleus inc the functions
The nuclear contain chromosomes that are made of DNA that contain genes that control the protein synthesis inside the cell. The nucleus contains a nucleolus, the site in which ribosomes are made. The ribosomes are made out of RNA and protein.
1 of 10
What are the functions of ribosomes
they are the site of protein synthesis.
2 of 10
What is the difference between the rough endoplasmic reticulum and the smooth endoplasmic reticulum?
Rer has ribosomes attached to its surface where as Ser doesnt. The Rer is also where proteins are made whereas Ser makes lipids and steroids.
3 of 10
what part of the eukaryotic cell's structure is where proteins are modified and packaged
Golgi apparatus
4 of 10
Name a specialised lyosome
acrosome
5 of 10
What is the function of a lysosome
they breakdown unwanted structures in the cell
6 of 10
What are centrioles involved in
the transport within the cytoplasm and the formation of the spindle in nuclear divisision
7 of 10
What process happens at the organelle mitochondria ?
aerobic respiration
8 of 10
What organelle do both eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells have in common
the cell surface membrane.
9 of 10
what does the cell provide once respiration has occured
energy/ ATP
