Ethnicity
Relates to a persons cultural identity and who they see as their community including religious groups, common traditions, and cultural language use. Creates thoughts of racism

Refers to which nation/s a person formally belongs to and is more as a legal concept. Causes patritism

Creole
A variety developed from a 'pidgin'/trade language that's expanded in structure and vocabulary and has regional and social variation. It's become a stable language that's become speakers mother tounge as pidgin had become childrens first language

A linguistically simplified means of comminication (used due to the slave trade) which emerges naturally when speakers of 2 or more languages need to understand each other. Comes from colonialism, trade and slavery e.g. Long time no see-pidgin

Cheshire et al 2008 - A new form of Engligh from the melting pot of London inner city and is generally ised by working class teenagers and young adults. Influenced by Creole, Ex colonial Englishes, Cockney and the media

Vocabulary (bare, beef), Phonology (dipthong vowel sound of like and face), Full reinstatement of h (no h dropping which is seen in slang), Grammar (dem as a plural mandem), Question frames (Why..... for), Discourse features (tag question - Innit)
