FREE WILL - St Thomas Aquinas: "Man chooses not out of necessity but freely." What does this mean?
We choose our own actions; no-one else chooses them for us.

PREDESTINATION - St Paul, Romans 8: "God predestined everything and their purpose including his son and all those who should be glorified." What does this mean?
God decided our eventuality for us. Everything we do will lead us to that eventuality.

PREDESTINATION - St Augustine, Sermon 26: "The potter has authority over the clay, which he takes from the same lump to make one vessel for honour and another for contempt." What does this mean?
God (the potter) has already decided what sort of people we (the clay) will be; he has already decided our fate, so our actions have already been chosen for us.

"" - John Calvin: "Predestination is the eternal decree of God, by which he determined that he wished to make every man. For he does not create everyone in the same condition, but ordains eternal life for some and eternal damnation for others."
