"Always treat others…". Jesus said to a rich man "Sell what you have and give to the poor…". "It's easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle…". Agape. Stewardship- "God put man into the garden of Eden…". Compassion(Sympathy not action).

Christians views and parables for world poverty?
Justice(fairness). Parable of the Good Samaritan- Help people regardless of who they are. Parable of the Rich Fool- Don't be greedy share. Parable of the Sheeps and Goats- People will be judged (by God) on how we help this in need. Heaven/Hell/ DOJ

Muslim view on world poverty?
"Visit the sick, feed the hungry". Zakah-2.5% of money to the poor. Sadaqah- Voluntary act of giving as need arises.

Causes of poverty?
Exploitation- Low wages, bad conditions, no healthcare. War- Unstable government causing civil wars. Climate/Natural Disasters- Cant control.

Sustainable Development:
Village Volunteers= Improve life of villagers, sustainable livelihood. Rainforest Alliance= Conservation organisation, ensure tourism/forestry. Fairtrade= CAFOD, Improve quality of lives and NG (futures thinking).

What is CAFOD?
Catholic aid. To Bring hope,compassion and solitary to poor areas. End poverty and injustice. Training and producing farming equipment in Zimbabwe.

What is Global Interdependence?
Rich countries depend on each other for trade and survival. Favours MEDCs and increases their power.
