A Cell
This is necessary to push electrons around a complete circuit. It consists of two or more cells.
1 of 11
A switch
This enables the current in a circuit to be switched on and off.
2 of 11
An Indicator
This is designed to emit light as a signal (A bulb) when a current passes through it.
3 of 11
A diode
This allows a current to pass in only one direction. (like a channel)
4 of 11
A light emitting diode
This emits light when a current passes through it
5 of 11
An ammeter
This is used to measure the electrical current
6 of 11
A fixed resistor
This limits the current in a circuit
7 of 11
A variable resistor
Allows the current to be varied
8 of 11
A fuse
This is designed to melt and 'Break' the circuit if the current gets to high.
9 of 11
A heater
Is designed to transfer electrical energy to heat the surroundings
10 of 11
A voltmeter
This is used to measure the potential difference.
