They were poor and had to work the land. There way of life was much more basic than a pharoh

They followed advice in books and wrote down symptoms, observations, treatments and kept records and passed them on to improve knowledge. They had a knowledge of cures but not causes.

Believed in many gods who 'caused everything to happen'. No disection was allowed because of theories into the afterlife

They soaked the bodies in liquids and salts, covered them in oils, cut out major organs and wrapped the bodies in bandages.

How did the River Nile help the way of life in Egypt?
It made the land fertile and easy to farm on, It provided good amounts of water, it allowed boats to go up and down to help build and create trade & money, People used it to wash and keep clean in.

An anology was made that the river nile and its many streams could be similar to the human body's blood system. This helped with understanding the human anatomy.

The Egyptians used willow leaves to heal and treat surgical wounds and willow is a form of antiseptic which would prevent infection.

Priests washed more often than normal people this shows there was a religious background to keeping clean.
