Education act 1944
Introduction to the tripartite system – Grammar –Technical -secondary modern .They also introduced then eleven plus exam. Aim- To allocate students to different schools. Which best fit their skills.

Comprehensive education –Labour 1965
A secondary or middle school that is a state school and does not select it’s intake on a basis of academic achievement. AIM- To give all students are given equal opportunities in education in the same school

Education reform act 1988- new right-
They set a new national curriculum in al subjects in primary schools and secondary schools .So all children learn the same thing. Aim To raise standards of achievement and teaching by introducing marketisation and the national curriculum.

Introduced specialist schooling, EG sport ,Art and science .The school specialise in a certain area. Introduced EMA- Education maintenance allowance. Also created academy schools which are state schools that are independently funded from the gov
