Eco-Systems and Photosynthesis

?
What is Photosynthesis?
It's a Chemical Reaction that takes place in a plant to, produce food for the plant.
1 of 10
What are the 3 things needed for Photosynthesis?
Carbon dioxide, water and light
2 of 10
What is the process of Photosynthesis?
The carbon dioxide enters through the stomata, the water is absorbed by the root hairs and is transported to the leaf by the xylem vessels and the sunlight is providing energy for photosynthesis.
3 of 10
What is the process with Oxygen and Glucose?
The oxygen is released through the stomata, Glucose is transported around the leaf to the pholem vessels.
4 of 10
Why are leaves green?
They are green because they contain lots of chlorophyll to absorb sunlight.
5 of 10
Whats Aerobic Respiration?
Its a chemical reaction that transfers energy to cells.
6 of 10
Whats Anearobic Respiration?
It transfers energy from glucose to cells.
7 of 10
Anearobic Respiration Produced?
The chemical reaction transfers energy from glucose to the cell. Anaerobic respiration produces lactic acid, rather than carbon dioxide and water.
8 of 10
Whats Chlorophyll?
is the green pigment that absorbs sunlight.
9 of 10
Whats Lactic Acid?
is the waste product produced during anaerobic respiration.
