Japan Prepare
1,500 earthquakes daily and they practice earthquake drills often, as well as local teams creating simulation. Tsunami walls have been built 10m high along the coasts.

Japan Predict
2011 earthquake had successful s wave prediction. 3 minutes later there was a Tsunami warning issued giving people around 20 minutes to get to safety. They have over 200 working seismographs monitoring the movement of waves from plate movement.

340,000 water aid, 5 year destructive after programme, 12,00 damage assesments made after the 2010 earthquake. Efforts made in eductaion to reduce detahs, 32 tonnes of medical supplies from US, Drills and evacuations practiced.

Built in 1972, 52 foot deep steel rails attatched to four places, lateral movement of the 1989 quake of 1m didn't make the building collapse.
