Metabolic rate is the speed of a chemical reaction to happen in your body

The formula for the BMI weight/(height)2. Most people have a BMI between 20-30 but if you have a BMI 18.5 or above 35, you may have a serious health problem.

eating a lot more food than they need, over a long period of time, it could lead obesity

Obese people are more likely to suffer from arthritis(worn joints),diabetes(high blood pressure) heart disease.

You can reduce the amount of energy you take by cutting the energry rich food such as crips and biscuits.

- You may become very thin and your muscles waste away. Your immue system can not function properly , may lead to infections.

Cholesterol is a substance which you make in your liver.It gets carried around your body in your blood.

Why do you need cholesterol in your body?
Chlesterol is a substance which is made in your liver.You need it to make the membrances of your body cells, your sex hormones and those hormones help your body deal with stress.

What is Low-density lipoproteins ?
are known as "bad" cholesterol. Raising the level of LDL can put you at risk you having heart problems

What is high-density lipoproteins?
are known as "good" cholesterol and they reduce the risk of heart problems.

What are the three main types of fats in food
Saturated fats, mono-unsaturated fats,polyunsaturated fats.

What effect does saturated fats have on your cholesterol
this increase the blood cholesterol levels. You find them in animals fats , meat and cheese.

What effect does mono-unsaturated fats have on your cholesterol
They may reduce your overall blood cholsterol level and also improve and help the balance between LDLs and HDLs. You find them in olive oil, peanuts and margarines

What effect does polyunsaturated fats have on your cholesterol
This is very good at balancing out LDLs and HDs. These include corn oil,oily fish.
