what is diabetes?
condition where the level of glucose in the blood cant be controlled

0.1g per 100cm3.

what are the symptons of diabetes?
glucose excreted in the urine, lots of urine produced as the glucose is diluted with lots of water, feeling thirsty because lots of water has been lost in urine, loss of weight and feeling weak, diabetic coma.

diagnosis for diabetes?
test urine for glucose and test blood for higher than normal glucose levels

what are the treatments for diabetes?
regular injections of insulin into the body, controlling the fat and carbohydrate content of a diet, possible transplant of pancreatic tissue

what is diabetes type one?
condition where a persons blood glucose may rise to a fatally high level because their body does not produce insulin

what is diabetes type two?
develops when the body can still make some insulin, but not enough, or when the insulin that is produced does not work properly (known as insulin resistance).

what is the cause of type 2 diabetes
being overweight (lack of excersize and too much fats and carbohydrates)

what age group is diabetes most likely to effect?
type one will usally effect younger people, type two will usally effect people round the age of 40

glucose isn’t stored and used by the body.
