What does Reduce mean?
Designers and manufactures aim to reduce the amount of materials and energy used in manufacturing a product and the amount of energy it will use in its lifetime.

Designers and manufactures will aim to ensure that materials and components that have already been used can be used again in a new product.

What does Recycle mean?
Designers and manufacturers aim to ensure that products can be recycled.

What are Ergonomics?
It is the study of the interaction between the human body, products, systems and the environment.

How do ergonomics influence design?
It is a critical factor in the success of a product. If they are uncomfortable for a user, they will be unpopular with consumers. There are many factors that influence ergonomics. These are: Colour, Lighting, Comfort and Sound

What are Anthropometrics?
Involves using body sizes to improve ergonomics in products,systems and environments.

What is 50th percentile?
the averae or most common anthropometric measurements from a sample.

What is 95th Percentile?
The upper limiting anthropometric measurement.
